Marianne Maderna:    Die Päpstin kommt über das Wasser  . Performance. 05.10..2013 . 20:35.

Um einer imaginären Gestalt, die der Päpstin – Päpstin Johanna (Johannes) eine ihr noch nie zugewiesene Tätigkeit zuzuschreiben und ihre Gestalt zumindest piktogrammartig definieren zu können habe ich der Päpstin  einen ebenso leuchtenden Umriss wie den Skulpturen meiner Raum-Installation HUMANIMALS. gegeben. (09.06. – 13.10.2013.ZEIT KUNST / NÖ / Dominikaner Kirche Krems)

Die Donau Begehung und Überquerung war mit vielen technischen Vorarbeiten und den dafür entwickelten Eigenkonstruktionen und körperlichem Training verbunden.                         

Am 5.Oktober 2013 um 18.30 h ging die Päpstin,- „darin“ ich selbst fast unsichtbar –  über das Wasser der Donau nach Krems und besuchte die Dominikaner Kirche / Krems in der meine Skulptureninstallation des Welttheater HUMANIMALS mit 6000 nachtleuchtenden Skulpturen und 3-D Animation – Projektion hing und projiziert wurde. Diese Figuren bildeten skulpturale Chiffren zu hierarchischen Systemen und evolutionär- de-evolutionärem Geschehen.  

Da die Skulpturen-Installation nicht nur in ihrer äußeren Erscheinung der Päpstin ähnelte bildete ich – als Linien-Päpstin – ebenso  einen „Umriss für Systeme“ und fühlte mich nicht nur darin verwandt sondern auch zukunfts-verantwortlich.

Rückerinnernd entstand die Performance Die PÄPSTIN kommt über das Wasser auch aus der Überlegung zu den von den Dominikanern geführten Hexenprozessen (14.-15. Jd.) – um vor Ort eine Feminin-Intervention setzen zu können.

– Denn nur die Päpstin–in-Tiara – kann dieses beschädigte Imperium ins ursprünglich Positive – im Sinne des „übers Wasser Gehens“ – zurück verändern. _____________________________________________________________________________

The performance The Popess who came over the water was my very personal imagination of ” Pope Joan” – the Popess. I accorded her an unique attribute- walking over water. At least in form only, I defined Popess Joan ´s figure as a glowing pictographic outline, similar to the sculptures in my installation Humanimals ( 06.09.- 13/10/2013 ZEITKUNST, off – site in the Dominican Church, Krems,.

Crossing the Danube by ‘walking across the water’ enlisted complex technical preparations, such as specifically developed self-made constructions, and it involved demanding physical training.

On October 5, 2013; 6 p.m. ‘Popess Joan’ – I – walked on the water, crossing the Danube from one bank of the river to Krems on the other. I was on way to visit my Humanimals installation in the Dominican Church. Consisting of 6000 florescent sculptures suspended in space and their ‘translation’ into a 3-D animated projection, the installation represents my own personal vision of a ‘world theatre.’ The sculptural figures were ciphers to hierarchical systems and evolutionary – de – evolutionary happenings.    

Since the sculpture installation not only resembled the Popess in its external appearance, I – as the Popess of Lines – also formed an “outline for systems” and felt related and responsible for the future.

This performance was a reminiscent. The POPESS comes across the water – from the consideration of the witch trials led by the Dominicans (14th-15th century) – in order to be able to set a feminine intervention on site.

– Because only the Popess – in tiara – can change this damaged empire back into the originally Positive – in the sense of “walking over water”.
